The Northern California chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists will host the next SPJ regional conference in Spring 2025. 

It will be held on May 2-3 at the University of San Francisco.

Each of the 12 designated regions consisting of the Society of Professional Journalists chapters grouped by geography hosts a conference annually. SPJ NorCal would host its fellow Region 11 chapters, inviting journalists from California, Arizona, Guam, Hawaii, Nevada, and the Mariana Islands. It last held a regional conference in 2015. 

The chapter was up to host the Region 11 conference in fall 2024, but it has been moved to 2025 due to logistical reasons and the expected time crunch from elections coverage. This change in plans puts the regional conference back on its regular spring schedule.
